Where do you have your events?
We have our Spring Workshop and Hunter Safety class at Williams Gun Sight and Outfitters in Davison, MI. Depending on what sort of event, we travel a bit, but mostly we stay in or around Genesee County.
How much does everything cost?
We do our best to keep all costs to little as possible. In the past, all of our events throughout the year have been funded by the fee paid for the Spring Workshop. Our goal is to get women out having fun in the outdoors, not to make money. We're non-profit!
How old do you have to be to participate?
You have to be a woman 14 years of age or older to join Camo & Lace.
What if I have a disability or special needs?
It is our goal to make sure everyone has fun in our group, regardless of any personal circumstances. If you would like to participate but are concerned, please contact us and somehow, some way, we'll make it happen!
Is everything about hunting and fishing?
No, we love doing anything outdoors! Many of our activities are related to hunting or fishing, but can stand alone as a fun thing to do even if you have no intention of going hunting. For example, archery is a popular hunting and fishing method here in Michigan, but target archery as a sport definitely holds its own. We just like to try out different skills because they're interesting and fun!
What is your total membership?
Currently on our list we can boast 73 women! :-) We fully expect that number to increase again this year as word gets out that we have a blast and what great food we eat!
